Evaluation of filming process

I think that although we created a storyboard, it was hard to transfer what was on the storyboard into our filming. This was mainly due to the fact that our storyboard lacked detail. Our script also needed to be more detailed, and the fact that it did not correspond with the storyboard and shot list made it difficult to shoot efficiently.

At the start of the shoot we had difficulty adjusting the tripod. We were unable to use the tripod, this meant that in some of our shots the camera is shaking slightly, this makes the film seem unprofessional. We did use a range of shot types, which worked well and helped show the progression of our story.

If I was to do this task again I would:
  • Make sure I fully understood how to use the camera before shooting
  • Make a detailed storyboard and script
  • Have a better idea of the lenght of each shot before shooting
